VELA manufactures machines
to manipulate the sheets of flexible plastic to produce a more
elaborate product.
The firm was founded in 1970 by Ramon Vela.
VELA he has designed and
created machines for more than 35 years.
We have several machines lines:
Protection
Line:
- Welding machines to produce protective bags made of
bubble plastic sheets or flexible foam (PE expanded). Some examples are
bags to cover electronic material or delicate pieces.
- Cut machines to produce sheets of these materials.
This machines has the great advantage that it have a high
productivity because he can cut 6 rolls of material at same time.
We have specialized
in these materials that have behaviour completely different from the
normal PE plastic. It has to be manipulated carefully to avoid wrinkles
or tear while it is weld or cut.
Here we have the advantaged that we can produce little, medium or big
format bags: protection for plasma screen, protection for sofas
(furniture)
Really, our customers in Spain are very happy with out machines and
they repeat the buy, so there are factories where we are the only
providers for this type of machines
Universal
Line:
Welding machines to
make covers, bags and sacks for industrial or agriculture purposes. In
this
case, we are specialized in big format bags. Some product examples are
pallet covers, sacks for agriculture, covers for suits, conic bags for
flowers, bag with cylindrical bottom for pharmaceutics industry.
The system that we use in our machines allow us to weld thick material
(in example 200 microns x 4 time due to gusseting = 800 microns) and as
well thin material.
· In this line we are working with machines with bottom weld
that provides a strong union between the material
Sleeve Line:
- Sealing Machines to obtain sleeve from a roll of
printed material. The sleeve is used to label the final product or
create promotions of a product. This type of machines has a nice
success because they can do 2 sleeves bodies joined, ideal for
promotional purposes. Moreover, it provides the possibility to include
a longitudinal pre-cut in the body.
- Cut machines to convert the sleeve in reel to sleeve
in format that means that it will be ready to be put in the final
product.
- In this case the machine has the possibility to
perform a transversal pre-cut with shape. That is used to implement the
seal in the bottles.
We can design and built machines with special functions according to
the requirements of our customers. Our machines can do:

- · Rewind from reels
- · Unwind to reels
- · Pile up the product.
Our philosophy is to work in modules, so we can adapt the design to the
customer needs choosing the suitable modules and link them in the
correct way. This modules structure improves the machine start-up, the
maintenance and allows inserting a new module in the machine without
remake all the machine.
Some advantages of our machines are:
- The longitudinal welding used to make a long weld for
big bags.
- The anti-stretch control used to avoid wrinkles in
the bags or sacks
- The welding method used that don’t destroy
the foam material where the weld is done.
- The automatic pile up system of bags or sheets
without needles, so the final product doesn’t have holes.
- We can stack bags or plates with a height that can be
considered unlimited.
- Our machines have a high reliability that can be
confirmed by our customers. The expense in spare parts is very little.
- Our machines are very compact and require little
space. This is important, because the square meter is expensive in the
factories.
